Prevention Education

The first step in stopping domestic abuse is understanding what it is and how to help a victim. We treat everyone with non-judgement and respect as they work to change their circumstances.

Utilization of Resources

Option, Inc. offers facilitation, transitional housing, food, clothing, transportation, assistance with acquiring protective orders, and legal aid referrals.

Intervention

In our 40 + years we’ve helped families experiencing domestic violence by providing services to victims and their children. We offer shelter, advocacy, community resources, protection orders and hope.

Community Awareness

It is estimated that 1 in 4 women will be abused at some time during her life. We at Option, Inc. work to educate the community, so they are better able to support local victims.

In addition to protecting victims we work with offenders to educate them and help them navigate triggers that may cause domestic abuse.

Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior which establishes power and control over another person through fear and intimidation, often including the threat of violence. Not all domestic violence is physical. It can also be emotional abuse, psychological, intimidation, threats, verbal abuse, stalking, isolation, and economic control.
